Will Ripple Take Over The Financial Payment Industry?steemCreated with Sketch.

I know i'm already going to see people in the comments hating on Ripple, you might as well not waste your time, Ripple will be huge and i'll tell you why and hopefully I can change your mind. Bank of America, one of the largest banks in the world, is currently commercially developing Ripple and Bank of America made a net profit of 1.9 billion dollars in the last three months, you could imagine how much money gets sent across borders in a year with Bank of America! Ripple's transactions work at light speed and save banks up to 75% on processing fees. Banks are super greedy so tell me again why they wouldn't use Ripple? Not only would banks use Ripple but many financial corporations and institutions will as well. Also Ripple would cut out intermediary banks which when using that method of transfer it usually takes 5-6 business days. Paypal is even developing with Ripple so they can be apart of the mass adoption of Ripple. Google, one of the biggest corporations in the world, is one of Ripple's investors. I've said enough, if this doesn't show you why they will take over the financial industry, your just gonna have to see the mass adoption yourself, which is when most investors will hop on the bandwagon, thank you for reading this post!

Agreed, I only have a little bit right now but intend to accumulate. I get the "hate" as people worry it is not decentralized. But, I'm here to make money for myself. I think there is plenty of room going forward for Ripple as a primary bank tool and an entire market of competitive currencies that tend more to the decentralized model. Competition is good. BTW, some of these other currencies are criticized as being too centralized also, right or wrong. Finally, is a totally decentralized crypto actually workable? Isn't a little bit of focus a good thing? Look at bitcoin's troubles. They can't seem to get their shit together and may even result in fracturing it. So, there is plenty to debate about this concept. To me, the very best you can do as an investor is to heavily diversify across many of these projects.

I've been holding ripple too. Not selling until it's mainstream.

we will be rich together when it is mainstream!

It is the antithesis of decentralized, however, it is also the easiest for governments, central banks and our financial institutions to get behind for this reason.

ripple. love and hated. great tech tho

I will hold XRP until 2020.

i will until 2025

I will until 2030

I worry when I hear mega corporations adopting payment protocols like ripple. Makes me think yes this is what we want, mainstream adoption but do we want it made by the same people we want to get away from? If they keep printing fiat and pumping it into crypto it just perpetuates the cycle of financial monopoly just on another platform.

mega corporations is not what crypto wants to get away from, crypto wants to get away from government, banks and corporations aren't government

You dont think mega corporations don't have their influence on governement? When trillion dollar industries like oil and and pharmaceuticals lobby the government for laws that advantage them I would think we should still keep an eye on where the money is moving. I Agree we should get away from government and banks, but let's not forget the hidden hand that feeds them. Who owns the banks anyways?

it's a long-term HODL, and will get you (and me) good returns no doubt :)

I heard or read somewhere ripple is own by the bankers

used by bankers*

Im holding a small amount, will likely buy more.
