Bloodshed in Cryptoworld: A new hope

"I just made a million bucks from a $100 investment back in 2009 and I can't wait to earn more!" would have been my motto in life if I just listened to a friend of mine who introduced Bitcoin to the then-ignorant me few years back. It's also the same me who laughed at BTC's ambitious vision and looked at it with disgust.. thinking that it was just another ponzi scheme waiting for another prey make a mistake and be eaten alive.

Turns out that it was the biggest mistake in my entire life. I could have been driving my own SUV or enjoying a sweet vacation in the Bahamas by now, and my parents living the dream.

With so much what if's clouding my mind ever since bitcoin rose to almost $20,000 last month, I finally decided to buy my very first bitcoin (just a fraction) using Coins.ph at $14,450 value. Given the wild ups and downs of BTC value, the first days of being a trader wasn't really that impressive. It went as high as $18,000 and crashed to $12,000 in just a week. Imagine how it played with my emotions and patience.. It was indeed very stressful in my part.

I did some research on how to buy and sell altcoins after reading some articles about ETH and XRP. Despite the complexity of the processes, I dived into uncertainty and again, invested several hundred bucks with the goal of getting a thousand percent return before the end of 2018.

At the present time, majority of the altcoins are experiencing probably one of the worst decline in the history of cryptocurrency. Most of us may have lost a lot (and counting) and some would probably consider quitting this uncertain hobby, passion, or even profession for some. But let us not forget that before BTC became one of this biggest cryptocurrencies today, the world had witnessed its crazy leaps and dives in the past 9 years.

And remember, these disheartening dips could be a start of something great... Good luck to everyone!
