How to read the Energi staking table?

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

The cryptocurrency Energi (NRG) allows staking, allowing holders of NRG to contribute to the development of the network and earns rewards for their support. The developers have created a special table, which allows users to calculate how much they will earn (reward) by investing the amount (stake) in the network, unfortunately for me (and not only) is a bit difficult to understand. This article will show you how to read it.

We enter this website and enter for example 200 NRG. This is the amount we wish to stake.

In the table, the most important pieces of information are:

  • PoS Reward Interval (Hours):
  • Total Amount (NRG):

PoS Reward Interval (Hours) it tells us how much time must elapse before we will receive the reward. Time is given in hours. The more NRG we invest, the more often we will receive rewards. Total Amount (NRG) it is the amount of the reward and it is constant (2.28 NRG). Regardless of how much you invest, the amount of the reward remains unchanged, only the frequency of the reward is changed.

The table has been divided into days, weeks and months. In my opinion the column day and week can be omitted and looked only for a month. For 200 NRG, it comes out that we will earn 13.8285 a month.

Monthly earnings = the amount of the reward X frequency of the reward paid.

I hope I helped :-)
