Some big news coming out of Consensus conference (New York blockchain conference)

You may have missed it, so it's worth dropping a few bits of news that have come out of the Consensus blockchain conference happening in New York over the last couple of days.

The first is that a bloke called Jack Dorsey the co-founder of Twitter thinks that BTC will be the internet currency of the future. He is quoted widely as saying:

“The world ultimately will have a single currency, the Internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be Bitcoin.”

I am sure we can all see why this is important, but it bares restating. This guy is the co-founder of one of the biggest and most innovative websites in the world. I reckon he has a pretty good nose when it comes to business, the internet, and what the future might bring. Right up there with Zuckerberg, and much more in tune than Bill Gates (no kidding, right?).

But there's other good stuff too, including one about Deloitte. Before your eyes glaze over, Deloitte is a company with its finger on the pulse of business and Government. Arguably, companies like it and PwC and a few others have way too much power.

But for the purposes of this post, this news is worth paying attention to. "Deloitte Survey Shows More Businesses Preparing To Roll Out Blockchain Products." https://www.ethnews.com/deloitte-survey-shows-more-businesses-preparing-to-roll-out-blockchain-products

The post notes some really interesting stuff. Deloitte surveyed over 1000 representatives of companies with sales of over half a billion annually - companies from all over the world (including Europe, North America and China). And here are some interesting stats:

  • 43% of respondents said blockchain was critical to their business
  • 41% believe their companies will launch a blockchain application within a year

There were also some findings showing these same people believed there was too much hype about blockchain. But I don't know. These figures kind of speak for themselves. Blockchain is the future.

There were some other interesting bits and pieces, like IBM working with Stellar to build an anti-global warming blockchain. https://btcmanager.com/ibm-to-launch-worlds-first-corporate-issued-token-chooses-stellars-blockchain-platform/ Seriously impressive: kudos IBM.

Things are moving.

May all beings be happy.

Really sir so great man...
Thanks for cryptocurrency.
I love bitcoin...

This all just goes to show how strong this community is! Major widespread adoption and knowledge of blockchain technology is still at insanely low levels. Penetration into the mainstream will be groundbreaking.

Yeah.
It's a shift, and it's happening as we speak - though many can't see or feel it.

Good news wish you good luck for future

Nice article. It has been seen that most of the companies are planning to implement blockchain technology in their system to make their work process easy by boosting efficiency and reducing error.
