Some days ago, i saw on Tv, the Microsoft cofounder express his belief about the anonymity behind cryptocurrencies and how not beneficial to the financial growth of the society its proven to be.

Gates made it lucid when he said that "no existing technology has caused deaths in a fairly direct way" as cryptocurrencies have, suffice it say that the general society benefits from the control of money circulation, when government can identify launderers, tax evaders and people funding terrorists.

Its a normalcy to get fairly contradicted on a principle idea on social media, in this mainstream context, you'd expect lots of contradictions from high cryptocurrency earners.

A Reddit user responded to Gates critique about this form of currency being used in procurement of Fentanyl, a powerful, addictive Opioid narcotic painkiller, by calling his attention on how cash can as well be used for obtaining Fentanyl. For the billonaire and his resolute opinion, he gave a well humored answer......."Yes, cash is used for these kind of things but you have to be physically present to transfer it which makes things like kidnapping payments more difficult"

Its always a noted point that fans of cryptocurrencies believe that low cost global money transfers and decentralization of power are actually some of the more compelling features of cryptocurrencies. This means that Gates' remarks are likely to be met with resistance from the crypto-world.
