History of Memes

Internet memes have taken multiple forms over the past 2 decades.

Images such as 10 guy:

Video clips like Star Wars Kid:

and SHOCK websites like Goatse.cx

But what do they all have in common?

They make us laugh. They inspire us. They transcend the good times and the bad.

The cryptocurrency age is no different. Meme coins are primarily used to tip fellow users on various social media platforms, foster a sense of community, and just to have some damn fun in learning the basics of cryptocurrency.

Dogecoin was the first and still the largest in this space. With a little over 114 billion coins in circulation and a market cap around 640 million at the time of me writing this, there is no doubt that Dogecoin will be the premiere meme coin for sometime.

What makes the perfect meme coin?

1) Easily Available

2) Great Community

3) An Idea

4) Fast and FREE transactions

What makes Banano the perfect meme coin?

1. It is very easy to get Banano currently. Check out the website. Also, it has arguably my favorite faucet ever created. Banano Runner. A simple, endless runner game, where you collect Bananos and receive them at a set exchange rate (so far its been 1:1 but that may not always be the case).
   

2. Join the discord. They have constant giveaways, rains of bananos from whales, and a great community of people that will absolutely grow over time.

3. Banano. I mean how perfect is that. It lends itself so well to the meme as this coin is a fork of Nano (Formerly known as Raiblocks). The website and discord takes the meme and cranks it up to a 10.

4. As a fork of Nano, Banano transactions are Free and instantaneous. Again, perfect.

We will see what happens with this coin as it is very early days (the coin was launched at just the start of this month!) I have great hopes for it, and at the very least, its been a blast.
