Randy's Crypto Psychology Corner, "Every Little Thing Gonna Be All Right".
I Just Woke Up To Carnage in the CryptoCurrency Markets and I Just Had to Smile and Remind Myself, Don't Worry Be Happy.
Over the last year the rise in Crypto values was beyond my wildest imagination. I am so thankful for the life Crypto has afforded my family. Back in November when Bitcoin hit $9,000 I sold all of my Bitcoin because I thought we hit the top but we all know what happened. So I had to wait until late December for my altcoin portfolio to fly high. Now six weeks later my portfolio is back to where it was in USD terms in early December.
Should we be upset? Nope, most of us who have been in Crypto for a while are still way up from where we began. The ones I feel bad for are the newbies who bought into the Bitcoin FOMO in December and then got REKT.
A Little of My Crypto History.
When I first bought Bitcoin in early 2014 I quickly decided to buy altcoins. Within two weeks I was wiped out. Like many newbies today I had no idea what I was doing.

So in anger I rage quit Crypto for 10 months. I couldn't believe that I just took profits from selling my home and got REKT. It took convincing from a few good friends to get me to rejoin the revolution. My Exodus from the fiat market is almost 100% complete. My income, my retirement and my families future relies 100% on Crypto. We are all in!
Randy you are crazy! You may think so but we truly believe in this revolution. I did not get into Crypto to get rich overnight. It just happens that 2017 was very good for our bottom line. I admit that sometimes I get caught up in the greed, but in the end that is not why I love Crypto.
What Is Your Reason for Being Here?
If your reason is purely for financial gains then finding joys in Crypto will be fleeting. The emotional roller coaster might be difficult . If you are here because you believe this technology can make a better world for everyone, then the wild ride will have less effect on you.
If You Can't Handle the Volatility Then It Is Time to Take a Break.
Seriously, step away from your computer, delete Blockfolio from your phone, mute the Crypto groups on Facebook and don't watch CNBC. Come back in two months or after you feel you have recharged your mental batteries.

Honestly I don’t even panic anymore I literally just smile. I know that it will eventually go back up , I used to panic and sell . Now I just sit back and not worry
i think these dips are good to make some good profits quickly...if you have some money .
yes friend every little thing is gonna all right☺
@hilarski,
In last few months we were at a top of a mountain! Anyway now we must hodl, the market will rise anytime!
Cheers~
Start of a new month is when new lows or highs are formed. Keep buying a few at every dip.
Now it's moment to buy i mean we are watching the same movie of some years ago and i don't know why people is scary if we know the final of this movie, iron hands and buy more cheap coins.
hahaha thats what people should do now- hold hold and hold
hahha ,, its really fun in crypto
Crypto/BTC is a great way.The earliest way to get rich and not just make money with crypyo is to buy BTC and hold for year or two..........Bitcoin is one of the biggest opportunities since the invention of the internet itseif....great times to be around....
Sounds like he's holding a load of heavy bags and can't handle it!
Thanks for sharing this, it's really interesting to read your story. I first discovered BTC in 2011, but never invested until a few years later - a big mistake on my part, but that's life!
I am here for two main reasons: 1) The betterment of society and 2) Financial Freedom.
With regards to my first point, I want to help society by providing as many people as possible with the tools to gain financial freedom. As well as that, I want to work on projects that help improve society - currently, I'm working with an ICO that is completely focused on health and the environment, two areas that I am very passionate about. I plan on working with a lot more ICOs that have the goal of utilising the blockchain to improve society, and I am also considering doing voluntary work for a blockchain based charity (when I have enough money to work for free I would love to volunteer with them for 20-25 hours per week).
With regards to my second reason, I want to gain the financial freedom to pursue my first point - the betterment of society. I have big plans in the renwable energy sector, AI regulatory issues etc., and I am hoping to gain the financial freedom to help to grow these areas and integrate them more smoothly with the blockchain.
I am also starting up a Steemit incubator for beginners, with the aim of providing beginners with a guide on how to do well on Steemit by giving back to the community with useful information, quality content and more. I will be running a daily manual curation too, where I upvote between 5 and 10 posts from undervalued Steemians, in order to help grow the community of daily active users by inspiring great content creators to keep writing. I am currently actively seeking delegated SP and any advice from experienced Steemians, but I have a graphic designer on board to help new Steemians with some really cool post thumbnails and footers, and will be launching within the next few months regardless of the support I get, as I really want to start helping out newcomers.
Thanks again for sharing this, and I hope your future is bright! It's great to see people like you, who are really immersed in the cryptocurrency markets.
I did the same, 2011 but I did not invest until 2014.
I see! I guess we still got in pretty early relative to most!
Totally agree with you, no panic, Just wait.
