DO'S
Bookmark the original page of sites you store your crypto in:- Once you create an account in a site where your money is,ensure you bookmark the page and always login through the bookmarked link. If you have an account long ago and have not bookmarked, you still can. Get the original site link from a trusted source and bookmark it to avoid accessing the site through phising link.
Be careful of files you download, some of them are programmed to monitor your keyboard and copy your account login details.
Use an email address different from the one you publicise for your wallet and accounts login.
Use an escrow while selling your coins for your local currency.
Always confirm your credit alert before sending out coins, don't just assume.
Ensure that your phone is protected while browsing.
Logout from the site when you are not active.
DON'T
Do not click on any phishing site :- This is the most common method used by scammers to steal peoples coin. In the process of filling airdrop form or trying to gain access to your wallet e.g( bittrex, myetherwallet, poloniex, e.t.c) ensure that you login through the correct site as there are many phishing sites created by scammers to gain access to your details.
Don't store your password in your email draft.
Don't flaunt your account balance to people.
Do not agree to serve as an escrow for someone you don't know.
Never give out your login details.
Do not use the same password you use for your social media accounts.
Don't patronize cheap sellers, majority are scammers.
Do not use passwords that are too easy to detect like name or date of birth.

You should also very that mobile wallets are verified by the official cryptocurrency website before using the app. A few weeks ago, people had their funds stolen when a fake MyEtherWallet app made it's way to the Playstore and stole private keys of users who downloaded and used it.

Really helpful to everyone in the crypto world. Also, every user should endeavor to activate 2fa, it provides additional form of security and reduces the risk of hacking. Great post
Very good one,it skiped my mind, thanks
Interesting post but again do not store your password in your email draft, I will love to know why? I thought emails are usually the best place to safe facts and documents you don't wanna lose.
Hackers get easy access to email these days
Unless you create a new mail, never post the address anywhere and keep the password safe then storing your vital infos there could be safe
I am new to the crypto world but this advice is highly appreciated.
You are welcome hun
