Have you ever been successful in choosing a bottom price for a coin?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

I haven't.

Just last night I bought $500 worth of steem at $1.52 or so.

$500 got me 323 steem.

Currently the price is $1.27.

It's true that the market has been cooling off a little bit.

For actual users of steem, though, many of us have also noticed that the money we used to be able to give out after Hard Fork 19 has been reduced dramatically.

Personally, my vote was worth something like a $1.25 at the beginning of HF 19 and now I believe it is worth less than $0.50.

I wonder if this is scaring some users away.

The second coin that I must talk about is XRP.

Has there ever been a bigger troll coin than XRP?

Everybody said the same thing.......... literally everybody......... that XRP was going to definitely go to $1.00.

Instead it cruised up pass $0.30 and then dropped back down giving a great buying opportunity.

I bought several hundred dollars worth at $0.26.

It then immediately went down to $0.25 and $0.24 and now it's sitting at $0.20.

The third coin I want to talk about is TENX.

Now I wrote a blog piece about this yesterday.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@jeezzle/is-tenx-a-dead-dog-or-an-investment-opportunity

TENX was up around $10 shortly after it came out and then it quickly dropped to $1.18.

Many people bought in around that point including one person that commented in my blog piece.

He bought in at $1.13 and thought it was a great price....... now he felt a little bit upset that it had fallen down this far.

He had confidence though that was going to go back up.

No risk no reward.

TENX is currently selling for $0.74.

So it made me think....... wow I wish I had waited until today to buy steem at $1.27 instead of buying it at $1.54.

I'm sure my friend who bought TENX at $1.13 feels the same way........

Will it go down more tomorrow?

What about everybody holding the bag on XRP?

I truly think all of these coins are going to go back up and I'm actually tempted to throw a couple hundred at TENX today.

Of course I serve tables at a restaurant and I'm barely getting by so throwing any money at anything is a giant risk for me.

Sort:

I thought steem would be lowest at $1.50 a few months ago

I really surprised to see it go below $1.50.

It's a great opportunity to buy Steem. It's sales.

No, but I'm definitely the best at buying right before a drop. Got me some nice 395$ ether :/

Ain't that the truth.

I did for Antshares once :)

I humbling suggest you're looking at things the wrong way. XRP and STEEM are long term investments. Buy and hold them. Don't worry about the price going up or down. You are in it for the long haul, so what you paid compared to what they are worth now is meaningless. Don't stress it. Relax, enjoy life, and think of the future. That will return the smile to your face.

I'm not worried about Steem, Bitcoin, or LTC but XRP has me a little concerned.
