First Cash Out on Steemit

Steemit was introduced to me by @jon24jon24. It's thanks to him that I'm earning just by posting and upvoting stuff. I made my account on the 9th of October 2017. It wasn't until a few days later when I made my first post. It was a picture of a bowl of icecream my friends and I shared. It got 0.04 upvote.

A lot of us joined but only few remained. They were discouraged because their posts weren't getting enough upvotes. Mine were getting few upvotes as well but steemit gave me the distraction I needed during those time that I was broken.

There were times when I had hard time thinking of things to post. I got into photography and joined photography contests by @juliank, @dmcamera, @sol25 and @leyargoz. Their contests made it easier for me to post daily.

I was grateful to @surpassinggoogle for upvoting some of my posts. He was a great support to the steemit community. #untalented, where everyone's a winner, is an amazing project. Also, there's @bayanihan, a Filipino curator, who is amazing at curating hidden gems. I was lucky enough to get curated a few times in the past. I joined their curation trail.

I cashed out 30sbd (14353php). I added it to my investment in a lending business. I will earn some more so I can afford to buy DSLR. I've been using my phone for photography. It's been my wish to have a DSLR since I was in high school.

It took me 3 hours to get my money from Cebuana. They dont want to accept my driver's license because it was only a receipt since LTO run out of DL cards. I don't have other goverment issued IDs. They also dont want to accept my US passport so I went home to look for other IDs but cant find any. I went back and told them and they accepted my US passport. They should've accepted it the first time. 😑
