The Easiest cryptocoin to mine on CPU

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

This is one of the cryptocurrencies that has really caught all my attention. Its so easy to mine since it doesn't require sophisticated mining hardware or machine. Anybody with a laptop or a pc can mine it...it also supports Gpu's and even minable on an android phone. It is energy effecient since it doesnt require or use alot of electricity. Among all cryptocurrencies that i've been doing research on, its one of the easiest altcoins that i realised any ordinary person with a basic pc can mine. And i think It's value is fair enough or rather good. After alot of struggle and frustrations trying to mine other coins; since i couldn't afford or get the required hardware, somewhere along my struggles i came across Gridcoin. I read a little bit about it and then downloaded required softwares Boinc and Gridcoin Client. It only took me a few minutes to setup configure and i started mining. Another thing that increased my interest in this altcoin is that: when mining it, one gets rewarded and on the other hand one is helping out in scientific researches and projects including other programmes that would someday or is benefiting humanity and our lovely universe. I'd say its a win win situation. Some of these projects that one can participate in include:
World Community Grid which helps research on Cancer, HIV-AIDS, tropical and neglected diseases, clean water, solar energy and many others.
Einstein@home which uses computers idle time to search for weak astrophysicals signals from spinning neutron stars using data from the LIGO gravitational-wave detectors, the Arecibo radio telescope & the Fermi gamma-ray satellite.
DENIS@Home does cardiac electrophysiological simulations, studying the electrical activity of the heart.
Asteroids@home whose aim is to derive shapes and spin for a significant part of the asteroid population.
Radioactive@Home creates a free and continuously updated map or radiation levels using sensors connected to ones' computer.
RNA World which seems to identify, analyze, structurally predict and design RNA molecules on the basis of established bioinformatics software.
Quake Catcher Network which uses sensors attached to smartphones and PCs to detect seismic waves
Milkway@home whose aim is to create a highly accurate three dimensional model of the Milky Way Galaxy using data gathered by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
There's a long list of projects that one can choose from depending on there computing power. Although i started mining it recently, kindly allow me to say that i'm proud to dedicate my PC power to compute inorder to find solutions or answers to specific questions,to bring more scientific breakthroughs and serve humanity instead of it uselessly laying there. Can also say atleast im doing something with my life...Haha.211029.jpg
It supports various OS. I've been pool mining on grcpool.com and i'm planning to upgrade my PC with time so that i can even offer more computing power and get even better rewards in the form of Gridcoins. One can solo mine too.I think i'll be holding on to this coin longterm since science and mathematics researches will always be there and I'm positive its there to stay and it will increase in value as time goes. Y'all should consider mining or investing in it and help develop our universe.
Other altcoins that are on my list are Foldingcoin and Burstcoin. If theres any other coin thats easy to mine on CPU, let me know :-)IMG_20170906_235908.JPG

Thanks I have been looking for something like this, my idea is use a raspberry pi hooked up to a solar panel to just get a few cents here and there. I never mined before so Im not sure how it will be on the data connection being in the middle of no where I pay outrages costs for internet.

It doesn't require alot of data connection :-) although you'll need to sync your wallet if you are planning to solo mine. Im new to this forum Kindly resteem so that it can reach more people. Thanks
