Coinbase alternative - Gemini.com - Now also available to those in Washington State

My state of Washington was just added and I signed up 2 days ago. It seems the verification process is back logged and could take 2 weeks they say but I'm seeing that it will be well worth the wait.
All 50 states are supported except Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Oregon and Wisconsin are coming soon.

An example of the difference for one bitcoin right now on coinbase with fees is $2,774 and on Gemini it is $2,714 for a $60 difference. The fee on coinbase was $40.73 and on Gemini was $6.77.
It looks like their trading fee is .25% so that is low too.
What I also like is you can limit buy and sell. So no more just buying and selling at market with coinbase. (Well once I get verified)
You really can't compare Coinbase and Gemini. You have to compare GDAX to Gemini. Coinbase isn't a true exchange. GDAX is though.
Arizona isn't added yet. :-(

Thanks Brian. Oh I see GDAX is linked to Coinbase and now it compares :) I didn't know about GDAX and that is much smarter to use that and it looks like I'm already verified because of Coinbase. But I guess that Gemini is still an alternative :)
Yeah basically Coinbase is ACH transfers from Coinbase owned coins. When you use GDAX or Gemini there is an actual order book and the coins you are buying are coins that someone else is selling. Those are actual exchanges. Coinbase was mainly just an initial way that they could comply with the law before they were able to get all the money transmitter licenses in all the states for GDAX.

Anyone got something for Hawaii state. Gemini doesn't allow for Hawaii residents to buy. Any alternatives out here????
