Well, why not? If it helps a buddy and you can have fun in the process then go for it.
A coin only has value if a group of people come together and say that it has.
Same as if we decided that mangoes were currency. Albeit with a rather short shelf-life... hmm... but then you could make the comment that 'Money DOES grow on trees' :)

Mangoes are way to good to be stored as value :P
And they're just not the same dried...
So would the fresh or the dried mangoes be worth more I wonder ?.... And what about juice?
