Cryptocurrencies and trading signals from enthusiastic perspective

in #cryptocurrency4 years ago (edited)

My target was to examine markets and put all available data into prioritized list. At this point I researched best tools for automated trading and pretty quickly I was disappointed by what I found.

Since first day in trading I used usual or default, — indicators (such as RSI, STOCHASTIC, MACD etc.) It’s not that I don’t know how to use these stuff, it’s all about momentum. Default indicators are just too slow. For reference, you can find more details about fast momentum indicators in Jason Webb’s book “Demark Indicators”. In short, as a result I spent decent time searching for bots and signals, but unfortunately couldn’t find what I want. For example, in Telegram pretty quickly you find out all trading signals channels/groups are built on RSI,STOCH,MACD, etc. and I just couldn’t let it be like that, I guess.

To put my indicators on the charts I needed data. I already had a @cryptoratingbot on Twitter. It was simple bot with a simple purpose - to print once a day a list of all performers calculated based on my own formula. No history, no statistics. Just a snapshot of a CMC and CM data.

Not that too many things changed on the daily basis, but even if it did it was a complete disaster since I had to compare daily 100+ tweets like this one above on my way to come to any conclusions beside the fact that BTC is still at least x4 bigger than anyone else. Absolutely useless when it comes to multi-assets variative trading and a ‘search for setups’ algo.

Data mining, in my case I had two options: cmc/cm/min API’s OR /AND cryptocurrencies exchanges API’s. Both gave me pretty nice results. I know some people think these data devilishly manipulated by elites and other pedophiles, but from my personal experience I can assure you that if you want to find best setups daily for free, all you need is to read these boring data, find exceptions and so on... Data from exchanges (candles) was absolutely perfect to put my set of indicators on, cmc/cm was just what I needed to build a list of priorities from a list of cryptocurrencies and candles. Long story short

First step was a simple statistics collector that is quite helpful when you looking for growing projects, after all our point is to catch early birds from #1000+ rating

Working with these data alone gave me a plenty of ideas that I published on TradingView that week

Some ideas already gave a profit. But in any case I was happy I could find all setups relying, again, only and only on CMC and CM API’s.

The cherry on the pie was a cool multi-exchange volume indicator. Also, calculated entries, stop-losses, take-profits, etc.
