Upvoting on Steemit - Why we should all be doing it
Hi steemers
So recently I have seen alot of posts (not just mine) with views and comments and people obviously reading because of interest, but i don't see many upvotes..... why is this?
The reason we should all be upvoting, commenting and resteeming is because of the simple reason behind this platform.
The more upvotes-comments-resteems leads to more distribution of STEEM and STEEM dollars
The more distribution of STEEM and STEEM dollars the more tradeable it is
The more tradeable - The higher the price of STEEM and the more money we earn from posting on this site.
Personally If a comment or post is of interest to me then I upvote immediately - have a look at the posters profile and more than likely follow because of a common interest. Reason being - that person has taken time to read my article and it has been of value (negative or positive) to them and they should be rewarded for their time.
What are your thoughts on upvoting and commenting?
Without voting, it will be a few lonely whales sitting on a mountain of tokens.

thanks, once i get my steem power up my upvoting will be alot better. upvoted and followed in return. we are all in this together - building the value of steem!!!
how do you increase your upvoting power so when you upvote you give away more $$$
Every time another user upvotes one of your posts or comments, it increases your reputation score. Users with a higher reputation than you will have more of a positive effect. The more STEEM Power that the voter has, the larger the effect is as well. The best way to earn upvotes is by adding value to the Steemit community.
thanks. i have only been on here for under 2 weeks so hopefully i will be able to get there as am posting some of my experiences and once my steem power is up then will be able to upvote for more

I know it will but if people grasped the concept behind steemit quicker then the quicker the value of STEEM would increase and the happier everyone would be?? anyways just thought i'd post about what i thought.

People are not upvoting as they reserve it for their own posts, right? How about a limitation of posts?
Maybe it is just me, but I feel less greedy with upvotes as I simply don't need it for myself cause I post only every 3-4 days.
Is there already a debate about a possible post-limitation?
no sure. I personally post quite alot due to different topics of discussion but most of my replies get an upvote as people are reading my articles so i reward them as a thanks.
My upvotes are only 1c though and would prefer to give more so that more steem is distributed.
If people looked at the bigger picture of steem instead of how much their individual posts earned STEEM would be at $10 already with the amount of posts on steemit
That's true. But "if" doesn't bring us forward and that is fine. Lets expect the behavior from people which brings them the most financial reward.
Upon that we need to find quantitative incentives which will lead people to the bigger picture.

is complicated process so they are many in fear to upvote to much i guess
