Crypto currency Cards Suspended!

Bitwala and CoinsBank have both suspended some or all of their card operations - the beginning of the end for cryptocurrency debit cards? It seems that all Wavecrest VISA cards are affected. I think no other #bitcoin cards are available in Europe right now.

Users are chiming in:

BitPay just emailed to say they're shutting down non-US cards.

This move looks suspect on the part of VISA and card providers. Is it a regulation issue or is it a bigger play by the card companies to undermine the fluidity of cryptocurrencies?
