Hey everyone so I have a really cool project to share with you called Energi. They have a coin called NRG and I was fortunate enough to meet with part of the team at the Futurist blockchain conference a couple of week ago. They have some awesome change that they are implementing to the game and I’d like to share some of that with you as I widen my investing spectrum and get some free NRG through their earndrop too!

Introduction

Before we really get into what makes them different, it’s probably easiest to start off with an introduction. Energi builds on the concept of self-funded governance and currently has the largest treasury fund in the world of crypto!

Running since early 2017, they have taken a less traditional route of having no ICO and doing multiple rounds of “earndrops.” These are airdrops that require some basic action to earn the cryptocurrency.

Here are some of their main features:

• Support major operating systems
• Utilize an ASIC-resistant Ethereum hash algorithm
• Use proposals and masternode voting for on-chain decentralized governance
• Support a private and instant send on their wallet and offer wallet support with automatic backups
• They launched without an ICO
• They have a treasury dedicated to their development and marketing
• They have masternodes
  This covers the framework, but the coin itself also has some awesome benefits too!

Their coin NRG has tons of features, but let’s cover the main ones:

• Their block time is 1 minute
• Their hashing algorithm is the dagger-hashimoto algorithm
• Their masternode requires 10,000 Energi
• Their treasury cycle runs every 2 weeks
• About 1 million Energi will be released every month
• Their inflation and treasury allocation are the engine that drives Energi
  They really emphasize that they want to fuel re-investment using their treasury and create a positive feedback loop which is really ideal!

This post details their ROI calculations for running a masternode so you can decide if you want to potentially run a masternode yourself or invest in it. This just became possible on September 16h where you can now earn masternode reward payments for your contribution.

I won’t get into that as it’s much more involved and in-depth and I presume many of you won’t be that heavily invested, but I highly recommend checking it out. The ROI is pretty amazing especially early on.

How Can I Get NRG?

You can earndrop up to 100 NRG easily and also get referral bonuses and prizes.

They currently are running round 2 and 3 for their earndrops which enable USA and Canadian citizens for earndrop 2 and European, Australian, and New Zealand citizens for earndrop 3.

Though it is straight forward and easy to claim your NRG! In my video I will quickly go through the process to earn from the earndrop so you can also follow along!

After you go through the process of signing up and confirming your email and phone number

Then when you sign in, you can do the normal KYC verification and get your NRG via different social engagements.

In terms of buying, you can currently find the coin on

Setting Up Your Wallet

Navigate to https://www.energi.world/downloads/ and you can download the wallet or miner there and get started easily.
Once installed, you will load in the wallet

After that you will have to connect to peers and sync up your wallet

Then after sometime you’ll get to your wallet and be able to send and receive your NRG! I will go through the process a bit more in the video attached.

I can’t comment really on their upcoming updates, but they have a lot in the works as you can see and I highly recommend you follow them and keep up with them.
