Why I Joined Steemit
Confession time... I have known about Steemit for a while now. I'm a professional nerd who tends to try to learn something new everyday.
The fact is, I am not very into social media. Sure, I'll post the occasional picture of my dog or a long rant about technology but I tend to prefer sipping on a good homebrew with a friend while doing chores.
The odd part is I do know some amazing content producers! @darathus with his movie reviews or even my better half @Farmstead with the pictures and project journaling.
My role here is one of education so I can introduce more people to cryptocurrency and new technology. I have always been a firm believer in getting hands on experience so you can best assist others.
Steemit lowers the bar all the way down to zero dollars and a few minutes of reading. Great work team. I am looking forward to introducing others to this platform as I continue my current mission to provide no BS information to others.
It's not all about creating content -- there's value and of course SteemPower & money to be made simply by commenting. Check out beta.chainbb.com (ChainBB) which are forums based on Steemit. That way every new post isn't really a full out blog. I'm more of a private person myself as well, not really into posting on social media. The good news is Steemit has something for all of us :)
Awesome to know and thanks for sharing!
Hey @smitty! Following you and extremely interested on learning your brewing process if you would ever be interested in writing a mini series on that. Cheers and be well!
Sure, I could do something on brewing sometime soon.

Man I sure hope you are a really good teacher, because I'm really old and don't have much time left to learn all this new stuff. Welcome if it's ok with you, I'm gonna follow along.
Sure thing @billytwohearts. Please feel free to ask questions or make suggestions of content you would like to see covered.
