The Future of Cryptocurrency !?!?!?

Hello,

   I have been really digging into the crypto and blockchain world trying to soak up as much information as possible as of recently. Every time I turn around a new article, news story, ico, ect... pops up into my notification feed. It really seems like the world of Bitcoin and Blockchain will prove to be a global force in so many areas. 

  The one I was looking into today was the application of the blockchain in the much debated topic of immigration within the United States. Over the last couple years it seems that the Department of Homeland Security has issued some funding for several companies to begin projects trying to implement a blockchain to handle this constant flow of information. Factom received $200,000 and I believe more recently three companies received a combined 2.2 Million. Blockcypher, Digital Bazaar and Evernym were those three companies. If anyone has anymore information on this subject please share!!!

   Other applications I have read about recently have been renting out storage with Siacoin, Storj and Golem. There are Cryptocurrencies specifically designed for the emerging Cannabis Markets. There are prediction type coins that will predict stock market info, sports outcomes, etc... There many just straight Coins used for Currency. 

 I would love if people would talk about their experiences with the different types of Cryptocurrencies and their many applications. This evolution of blockchain technology is evolving so fast and if anyone hears of anything new please let us all know. This is an amazing time we are living in and I am so happy to be able to participate in this and learn about it.
