NEW LIFE OR POLONIEX!
Today marks the beginning of a new era for the popular crypto exchange Poloniex. Earlier today it was announced that the exchange had been aquired by the peer-to-peer payment company Circle.
"We are excited to announce that as of today, February 26, Poloniex will be joining the Circle team and building on our foundations to further scale our platform, grow our global reach, and accelerate the token ecosystem in the months and years ahead."
So what does this mean for the future of Poloniex and the ecosystem as a whole?
Well in an article on The Circle Blog, the company highlighted plans to increase scaling as well as plans to incorporate fiat connectivity. This may mean that a number of Fiat/Crypto tradable instruments will become available on the platform in the future.
The company also outlined plans to include tokens that represent "everything of value." The post hints at the possibility of adding real world assets to the platform like Gold or Real Estate as well as other financial services.
The future looks to be an exciting one for Poloniex we just have to wait and see how it all comes together.

A Goldman Sachs affiliated group getting involved with a crypto exchange is bullish for the entire crypto market. This is a wake-up call for anyone who doubts that crypto is here to say, especially with the stance that CFTC Chairman Christopher Giancarlo is taking with respect to the market.
Absolutely, should silence a few FUD issuers out there. A lot of people will not like the idea as its increasing centralization. However people are failing to see that the future will not be as decentralized as they think.
