Introducing Fairypark Games

Hello Steemians!

I’m @justatouchfey here on Steemit and I’ve created this account for my new project, Fairypark Games.

Fairypark Games is an indie game development studio founded by Ciel Sainte-Marie and will be the development home for my indie games going forward. I’m interested in creating games that use blockchain technology to deepen immersion and user freedom. I want to use user-friendly experiences and sophisticated storytelling to introduce new users to the blockchain space.

Who Am I?
I love crypto games, games that use blockchain technology to enhance the player experience. I’ve been coding since I was a teenager and have experience making a few games over the years, both digital and liveaction. I curate for the blockchain art project @Slothicorn and have a few pieces of short fiction available on Steemit (Theodore and the Queen Bee and The Winter Hive). Besides my curating work with Slothicorn, I also co-created and help maintain the CryptoKitties Wiki.

Outside crypto, I’m an artist and writer who has performed and exhibited work in Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Toronto. I’ve been involved in everything from television production to immersive art installations, where most of my games have been played.

What Am I Working On?
The first project is called Solarium. Solarium will be a mystery visual novel, built using Ren'Py, that uses in-depth character studies, rich visuals, timed events, and randomization to seamlessly provide hours of entertainment and introduce players to the intricate world of the @steempunknet game as well as the Steemit blockchain. It will use player-created content as the basis for its characters and a variety of mechanics such as hidden objects, branching narratives, and more to expand on and celebrate the Steempunk storyline.

The game will be playable without participation in the STEEMPUNK-NET project, but is also meant to be a way for current players to get more into the universe and enjoy more interactivity with the pre-existing game.
