Interesting post.
I myself am a software engineering student and I gotta say, CSS and HTML were literally the easiest languages I have ever learned.
They're fun to play with and since it's so easy, you rarely get those annoying "hairpuller" errors that take melleniums to fix like in C, C++ and JAVA etc
