Iria known as fating room in english is a process we use in welcoming female children to womanhood, usually it is done by vergins in the ancient days and immediately after the ceremony they get married to their husbands.
i wanna go deep into this topic and hope you learn from it.
Iria is a culture that was introduced by our four fathers to our fathers and to us we may have loss many other things in our culture due to technological advancement but we can never loose this festival.

This is our culture and our heritage we don't do it to impress people from other tribes we do this to standout to all those tribes that have lost their culture and give their attention to technology. The Iria is where we showcase the beauty of our culture many people say things like "Why will they open breast for people to see" well i guess those people saying that don't have culture or maybe they don't value it.
The iria festival is the day the contestants goes to the town square to collect their tickets, meanwhile before that day they will do a lot of thing but won't work by themselves the cultural life last for as long as it takes for the elders to call them out. this festival is held once a year and it has never been disrupted by anyone.
The culture is stable one that cannot be changed instead of changing it they went on to sign an agreement for the ladies to complete their studies after the iria ceremony before getting married.
During the ceremony the contestants will rehearse with some cultural dance groups to learn some certain dance moves and more other things to learn before the day of the ticket.
On the day of the ticket all the contestants will come and talk about their household and call the name of their chiefs and other things that cannot be said out online, after the talkshow the elders will now give them their tickets and their positions as well.

My sister has actually gone for the ceremony and she came out with third position due to lack of concetration from my mom who was busy on my granny's burial that day but it was still fun for me till i found out the truth that she was to be the second but she appeared late. It was really amazing and i am indeed pleased with my tribe and my culture.
