Colinas de bello monte

in #culturelast month

Today I am dropping by to show you a bit of the photos I took on Saturday, May 30th, as Colinas de Bello Monte became a cultural monster with more than 50,000 people, and although it seems incredible, this was my first time at the festival! CaminArte 2026 transformed Caracas' avenues into pure energy: five simultaneous stages, urban art, and an incredible pedestrian vibe. As a street photographer who rolls through the city, experiencing this festival from my perspective in a wheelchair was a brutal and beautiful challenge; moving through the crowd looking for the perfect angle, the neon lights, and the framing at my own height made me connect with the environment in a completely different way. The atmosphere was so hyped that it was impossible for me to just go and watch, so I decided to activate an experiment right in the street: taking professional portraits of strangers for just $1.
At first it brought a bit of shyness, but the receptivity of the people from Caracas is from another planet. I approached people with incredible styles from my position and the magic flowed immediately; I managed to capture the purest and most spontaneous essence of the festival while breaking barriers through the lens. Between music, laughter, and wheels, I discovered that photography is the perfect bridge to connect with strangers in the middle of Caracas' beautiful chaos. I leave some of my favorite captures from this unforgettable night below. Did you go to the festival? Tell me in the comments what you think of the photos
