Archdruid Gaming: Author Showcase Issue 6

in #curation6 years ago

Another amazing week here in our community. This post has something a little different about each of the authors showcased. Everything from someone trying to change an industry and make it even more amazing to a board game review. They all offer that unique something that they bring to the table every week that keeps readers wanting to come back for more and hit that follow button.

Author 1

@Loreshapergames is more than just a tabletop enthusiast. It is a great passion to want to change an industry for the better. You will often find quite a few different topics on this blog and most of them are around the tabletop industry. From thoughts on how to create something from the start and deeper insights into what they are doing overall in the industry.

Introduction to Roleplaying 101 is a wonderful example of just that. In it, you will find quite a few examples to think about when creating a character before you embark on your journey. It can take someone who knows very little like myself to someone who just wants brush on their own skills and has some insight on how others go about it. You only have to read the comment sections of this blog to realize if this is your thing you just found your author to engage with!

@Pipiczech is one of those who always looking to create something unique and surround it with a wonderful story of her own experiences. While this can often be found in her game reviews and let’s plays. You will find that her other gaming topics can go much deeper than that as she takes the reader on a journey.

We all have some great memories of our gaming past. It’s always great when you can relate with another gamer’s experience from across the world but also discover new things as well. In A slightly different gaming nostalgia you get to learn what made her into the gamer she is today. Along with it quite a few different games. Some of which you might have played and others you wish they were in your region growing up.

Author 3

jackssimone.png

@Jackssimone has your back if you are looking to read about some great classics. He has been on a roll for some time now on a segment he calls “Speaking of Classics.” Which he writes at least once a week and proves an English and Spanish version when it comes to these kinds of games.

He breaks down the history of one such classic in his most recent one The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker. In it, you get to read all about the lore. Where this game belongs in the Zelda universe. Just what makes it so classic and the things that tie it into the previous games that lure the fan base deeper in and demanding more. It shows even if a game does not perform that well it can still hold its own in the history of an industry.

Author 4

freddbrito.png

@Freddbrito creates very animated blogs. He likes to bring it using gifs and spices things up with custom graphics headers for luring the reader deeper in. He is another one that creates both an English and Spanish version of his blogs to reach a wider audience. His blogs have such a unique style to them own you could almost recognize them even without his name.

Comix Zone shows a great example of how he likes to make the page dance alive and his formatting style. In it, his game review goes over key elements he looks into such as story, graphics, sound, and gameplay. It really paints a great overview of what many gamers are looking to find out about a game. Many of these elements also restore that retro vibe. Even better when you can find an older game like this still somewhere in a playable format.

ratticus.png

@Ratticus is one of those who follows a schedule every week so you know when to expect to see his board game reviews. This is really great if you are looking for content like this that’s often not present on steemit. He becomes quite a knowledge of the game he plays and will even talk about it further with people in the comments. He always finds something different and at least for me, I’ve never heard of.

Every week I hope to get one of his amazing reviews into Author Showcase. Due to his own posting scandal and mine, it tends not to happen. While the same case is true this week with the post being past the upvoting phase I am including it anyway. He is just too unique of an author to pass up. His review of Flamme Rouge wonderful as the rest which he includes links at the bottom of his blog.
