Application For Community Curator - October 2026

Dear Steemit Team and fellow Steemians,

I am @kouba01, and I am applying individually to serve as a Community Curator in October 2026. I would be glad to work with the teammates selected by the Steemit Team and to help discover original, valuable posts and comments across languages and communities.

A brief summary of my history on Steem

I joined Steem on 20 August 2017. Over nine years, I have contributed as an author, educator, contest organizer, curator, Steem Representative and witness. My posts have covered blockchain education, technology, travel, personal experiences and community projects. This variety has taught me to appreciate the work behind different kinds of original content.

At the Steemit Crypto Academy, I prepared lessons on blockchain and trading and evaluated students' assignments. With Dynamic Devs, I helped create educational activities in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and SQL. I continue to share what I learn and to encourage authors to present clear, useful work.

Positions of responsibility I have held on Steem

• Steem Representative: I reported on my activities and supported contests, education and community participation. This weekly report gives a concrete example.
• Community Curator: I have worked with curation teams and helped produce reports explaining our selections. In Team1's report for December 2024, the whole team recorded 166 curated posts and 20 comments in a week and explained its top-seven choices, including posts I selected.
• Witness @kouba01: I operate a Steem witness and follow the network's technical side as well as its communities.
• SteemHome team: I work on SteemHome, where organizers can create challenges, collect entries and evaluate them using published criteria. Here is an example of that workflow in action.

These roles have given me experience in team coordination, transparent reporting, constructive feedback and the practical tools that support activity on Steem.

My professional skills and real-life experience

I work as a senior computer science instructor. I hold a master's degree in computer science specializing in artificial intelligence and a master's degree in educational engineering for adult training. My work includes teaching programming and databases, designing lessons, explaining complex concepts and reviewing learners' progress.

When I curate an educational or technical post, I look beyond its appearance: I consider whether the explanation is accurate, whether the examples work, whether sources are credited and whether a reader will learn something useful. My teaching background also helps me leave specific, respectful feedback.

My country and languages

I live in Tunisia. I can read Arabic, French and English fluently. This helps me find and evaluate work from several language communities and collaborate with an international team.

• Voting CSI: 12.2 — 74 upvotes to 60 accounts in the preceding seven days, with 0.00% self-votes.

For transparency, my incoming delegation is 1.115 SP from @steemcurator01, and my outgoing delegation is 10,090.132 SP to @delegain (approximately 3.8% of my own SP). The majority of my SP remains available for my own curation.

Subjects I particularly enjoy curating

I enjoy educational tutorials, technology and development, blockchain and finance, original travel writing, firsthand stories, well-organized challenges and substantial comments. I am equally willing to discover strong work outside these areas. I would pay attention to authors who are easily overlooked, including those posting outside large communities.

My approach is to read the full contribution, consider originality and effort, check relevant claims and attribution, and give constructive feedback when useful. I would coordinate with my teammates so our votes reach a variety of authors, subjects and languages.

My commitment for October

I understand that curator votes must exclude plagiarized and AI-generated posts or comments. I will respect the rotation for the team's daily member vote and keep votes on team members within the 10% weekly limit. I will help publish a weekly top-seven report in the Steem POD community, explaining each selection and stating how many of the seven posts were written by other Community Curators. I will actively seek strong posts beyond fellow curators.
