Taking Nadi out for some Jamaican jerk ribs!
Have you ever been sitting around your house and the dog is just staring at you like this for an hour or so?

Just me? Ok, well what this means is that she is bored out of her gourd and she really wants me to do something with her. I had spent the past couple of hours at a pub with friends having a few drinks and I already felt bad about not bringing her with me but she cannot go to this particular pub because there is a small child that lives there (her parents own the pub) and Nadi bites children who mess with her so I can't bring her there.
When I got home she was super excited but it was also raining a bit. Quite the conundrum but I prevailed in the end. I carried Nadi down the street under and umbrella and took her to a nearby restaurant that is better than average.
The place is called ONDA and they have all sorts of stuff for sale here. One thing in particular that I like is the Jamaican jerk stuff.

a half rack of ribs, some cole slaw (expected), chips (ok, fine), and rice (weird but go on) and a drink for 350k VND. This is about $13 and therefore it qualifies as one of the more extravagant dinners that I could possibly have in this part of town. Well, I wanted to treat myself so we went for it.

Here we can see how well behaved she is. While she would likely struggle because her mouth is so small, she is close enough that she could just take the food rather than wait for me to give it to her. But because of over a decade of training, she would never do something like that.
As an extra test I got up to go wash my hands and asked a staff member to stand behind her with the leash just in case she jumped down... she never does this but it would break my heart if I came out and she was gone. Anyway, the test was to see if she would try to take some of the food while I was away. When I got back the food hadn't been touched and she was just looking around waiting for me to return.
She did end up getting some of the ribs though, I think she knew that she was going to because she always gets a little bit of what i am eating.
On the way home I had to carry her again and I stopped into another pub for last orders before heading home. her little paws got to touch the ground after we left that pub (which thankfully had no children in it) but because she wasn't on the leash, she doesn't really know what to do.
I like this aspect of her. Many people have to worry about their dogs running off but Nadi is so used to being on the leash that when she is not on it, she doesn't really know what to do. She just looks at me and waits to be told to "come on." Then when she catches up with me she stops again. She is so well behaved.
I have never had an instance of her taking off and ignoring my commands. I got really lucky with this doggo, that is for sure.
Oh and if you want to get some ribs somewhere in Da Nang some night I don't really think that this is the place. While cheap they unfortunately were not very good. Nadi disagrees with this though, she loved it.
