0xUniverse

0xUniverse is new, is innovative, and most importantly, is fun. Because you hear about the first two adjectives I used very often, and even if it is not always true, we are used to these things. But a crypto game that is fun? To me they all looked like spreadsheet games, and yes you can make a profit, but call it a collection of virtual goods, not a game.
0xUniverse is different. It uses the same principles yes, with planets you can either sell or use to find more planets (though its a lot more complicated than that). But the graphics are absolutely beautiful, being 3d renders you can even move around and check out from any angle while they rotate, some of them with their ring or moon rotating as well. Additionally, this game also has lore, and story to be unveiled by players little by little. The story is one of mystery and space exploration, and I have been hooked since the beginning. Just seeing all those legendary planets with secret stories makes me speculate and wonder about them, and I think that is brilliant, I had never seen a crypto game with a proper "story".
And yes, this game is not perfect. But is any? The game improves over time, with a public roadmap being followed by the developers. Even when they have fallen behind schedule, they have kept up the conversation with players, and letting us know about how everything is going. I get this might be a somewhat subjective review, but I have always been treated well by the developers, especially if an issue was present that they had to fix.
And this brings me to my next point: the community. The community in this game might be one of the best things, and that
is already saying a lot, because I think the game is excellent. Being able to speak to the developers directly is a huge bonus, but the best part is that it is not even necessary most of the time. Any question usually gets answered by the first person that can do so, older players will patiently explain the whole concepts to newer players just to teach them, and even when issues have been present, players have helped solve them, giving the developers a much easier time fixing them.
Overall, I really enjoy this game. I, personally, think that the investment and moneymaking part is really nice bonus, but really have fun just playing the game. Honestly, if this game failed and prices dropped, I would think of it as an advantage, as I can buy many more planets. I don't think it will fail, but my point here is that this is a real game. It works with Ethereum, and is integrated on the blockchain, but its still a game. Its pretty. Its interesting. Its fun.
And I know very few people who would not be willing to give this a try especially with the low initail investment, which you can make back quickly.
Right now, I have already made back my initial investment, and I'm having fun exploring out in the vast amazing galaxy. This game might not be for everyone, but I hope at least people decide to give it a try. See you in space!
