RE: “Sometimes You have to be a Lion that You can be the Lamb You Really Are!”
Thank you for all the love @mammasitta, I hope that your day gets better! I like to think that as long as you're doing something, don't stress out c: doing absolutely nothing is far worse. I have to remember sometimes that relaxing and taking breaks is okay to do.
Comedy adds some light to the darkness, and we don't want to end up in a world that lacks humor, compassion, and understanding! I feel like nowadays everyone is preaching acceptance, but it's starting to feel like coddling, and inclusion just for the sake of. Chapelle keeps it real, and I'm happy that we can share thoughts on some rather off the wall topics!
Stay blessed 💕
@shello
Keep it real is the key!
I never considered myself as a brilliant writer but I was flying the moment I realized that so many people did appreciate the “authentic” Me.
My time on steemit helped me growing into the real version of myself and feel great about it. I have learnt that there is no mistake if you are honest. It’s not only how we use our powerful words, it’s the way our soul speaks to another.
I could feel yours in seconds!
Sometimes we become those lions indeed who stand proud in the light because we know what darkness means. Oh yes! Comedy is probably one of the most difficult genres IMO and I wish to learn how to tell my dramatic, sad and also happy stories but make many people smile or even laugh out loud because they can resonate. I wish to get used to become a “comedian”, spreading the truth with a 😃 smile.
Good morning @mammasitta!
Being real is definitely the lesson here, but sometimes even I blur the line between my message and how I present it. Am I acting? Playing as a character??? xD
Big mood on Steemit helping writers, artists, and designers discover their true talents and allow everyone to find what their voice is. I started my account gimmicky, but then realized that if I can't write about the things I want—Why even write?
I sucked it up and took a step in expressing my true thoughts and feelings, and there the community of Steemit was to embrace who I am as a person. Things like these are why I stayed on this site as long as I did, and why I came back.
As above, so below!! You understand perfectly c:
You gotta be tough as nails while retaining humility to be a successful comedian. This requires the mastery of knowing how to be blunt without hurting others.
As a writer, this an excellent wish to have. The ability to tell your story with such depth and clarity, that others would swear they were there.
Love it ^_^
@shello
Oh gosh Your comments are more than gold and I can’t even catch up on them! 🌺
