Take the Professional Risk
Daybook September 14
Professional growth often requires a person to step beyond familiar roles and accept some degree of uncertainty, evaluation, and responsibility. Healthy professional risk-taking is not recklessness. It is a supported stretch: preparing, trying, receiving feedback, revising, and gradually expanding contribution. In nursing education and preceptorship, the goal is to create enough safety for learners to take meaningful risks without exposing patients or learners to preventable harm.
