Create a book to be published on Dbooks.

  • Create using your posts from Steemit, or create a new one out of thin air!

Read books from Steemit authors

  • Most are free.
    • Some might allow you to rent their book for a month for a small fee.

Ratings system

1-5 stars

Rental

You charge a rental fee in SBD. You rent the book for 30 days.

  • This is paid immediately. (Less 20% fee)

Reviews

Write a review of books here.

Fees and Reward Pool Sharing

They charge 20% for using the platform.

  • 10% goes to run the server, upgrades and such
  • 10% goes to a rewards pool to be shared among all authors.
    • This would be on top of anything you from normal publishing and curation rewards.

Random thoughts and conclusion about Dbooks

This is a great jabi! I think it will become quite popular.

  • You can monetize older posts which are past the 7 day payout.
  • You can reach a new audience.
  • Someone will need to develop a directory. Automated would be great. Maybe like DMoz used to be. Anyone remember that? It took quite some time to put together the list of books and categories.
  • I have a book about Backgammon, I would like to publish here.
    Hmm which box are those notes in? (We just recently moved...)
    • For the developers:
      • Export to pdf would be cool. I know there is a php script for this.
      • Hats off to you!

    Thank you for the mention of my post! I am in the process of editing some of my old books that I pulled years ago to post on here.I just need to make my cover art/book cover and finish. I have about 20 books sitting in my dropbox editing folder- time to get these babies out there.
