Got my Roadtrip Guitar!
English luthier Dave White of De Faoite Stringed Instruments sent out one of his guitars on a roadtrip to members of the Acoustic Soundboard UK guitar forum around a year ago. My slot rolled around today and I went to Glasgow to pick it up from its custodian and brought it home for a few weeks. Here's a wee vlog of the trip and my initial thoughts.
The model is An Féa Caol, a Gaelic name meaning the slender beech and pronounced 'an fa queel'. It's a terz, or high-strung guitar, tuned a third above standard pitch, so G-G high to low.
