A Small Town with History - Pollenca / Eine kleine Stadt mit Geschichte namens Pollenca

Hello everybody,

The last excursion to Mallorca, which I would like to share with you, is in the north of the Spanish Balearic island. This place tells a story. The poet Costa i Llobera already described the beauty of the city. There are also many steps in this city. To be precise, 365 steps. We are talking about Pollenca

The steps lead to the top of the Calvary. Each level symbolizes a day of the year. Sounds logical as soon as you know it. Although I have a good condition, but it was not without reaching the top. But the way is worth it. Maybe you will review your last year while climbing? What happened? What else is in store for you? Once at the top you will be rewarded by the view over the bay of Alcúdia and the Tramuntana Mountains. You must not miss this. On Calvary there is also a small Baroque chapel built at the end of the 18th century and can be visited.

The old town of Pollenca is beautiful and idyllic with its narrow winding streets. It's like a fairy tale here. It's best to just walk across the city.

Every Sunday I believe there is a weekly market in the city Here are many colorful and great market stalls set up and demonstrated the flourishing life. At the edge of the square you will find the 13th century Nostra Senyora del Angels church.

The small town of Pollenca also has a harbor, which is about 6 kilometers from the city. On the pretty waterfront worth a stroll and a visit to the beach cafes. You see, there is a lot to explore here. And for the women are of course great shopping. A great little boutique after another.

Treat yourself to this great trip if you should be there.

Hallo zusammen,

den letzten Ausflug auf Mallorca, den ich mit euch unbedingt teilen möchte, liegt im Norden der spanischen Baleareninsel. Dieser Ort erzählt eine Geschichte. Der Dichter Costa i Llobera beschrieb damals schon die Schönheit der Stadt. In dieser Stadt befinden sich auch unglaublich viele Stufen. Um genau zu sein 365 Stufen. Die Rede ist von Pollenca.

Die Stufen führen zur Spitze des Kalvarienberges. Jede Stufe symbolisiert einen Tag des Jahres. Klingt logisch, sobald man es weiß. Ich habe zwar eine gute Kondition, aber es war nicht ganz ohne da oben anzukommen. Doch der Weg lohnt sich. Vielleicht lässt du während des Erklimmen dein letztes Jahr Revue passieren? Was ist alles passiert? Was steht dir alles noch bevor? Oben angekommen wirst du vom Ausblick auf die Bucht von Alcúdia und auf das Tramuntana-Gebirge belohnt. Das darfst du dir nicht entgehen lassen. Auf dem Kalvarienberg befindet sich außerdem eine kleine barocke Wallfahrtskapelle, die am Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts gebaut wurde und besichtigt werden kann.

Die Altstadt von Pollenca ist mit ihren engen verwinkelten Gassen wunderschön und idyllisch aufgesetzt. Es ist hier wie in einem Märchen. Am besten läufst du einfach mal quer durch die ganze Stadt.

Ich glaube jeden Sonntag gibt es einen Wochenmarkt in der Stadt Hier werden viele bunte und tolle Marktstände aufgestellt und das blühende Leben vorgeführt. Am Rande des Platzes findest Du die Kirche Nostra Senyora del Angels aus dem 13. Jahrhundert.

Auch die kleine Stadt Pollenca bietet einen Hafen, der ca 6 Kilometer von der Stadt entfernt ist. An der hübschen Uferpromenade lohnt sich ein Bummel und ebenso ein Besuch der Strandcafés. Du siehst, es gibt hier vieles zu erkunden. Und für die Frauen sind hier natürlich tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Eine tolle kleine Boutique nach der anderen.
