Agree with your decision wholeheartedly! "Follow for follow" systems NEVER work... not on ANY platform. The interaction between users that simply followed one another for another "follower" is FAKE and it is in NO way sustainable. It is FAR better to create a close knit circle of people around you that engage genuinely and actually ENJOY your content.

and yes... there is way too much crap floating around.
