RE: "Dear Dawne" Live Today! - Get A "Pro" To Check Out Your Blog (the line starts forming..3..2..1..NOW)

so what are the factors that contribute to ones post being seen

You say you were on YT before coming to steemit? WHat brought you to steemit? Did you have problems with YT revenues, policies? Were you trying to broaden your audience?

I know MANY steemians who were on YT and have left due to changes in that sites' policies and issues. They even wrote about it- and none to kindly either. Maybe you can share your story too.

You do DIY's, recipes, etc- I LOVE THOSE too! So for your tags.... always use diy, crafts, recipes, frugal or thriftyfinds- things along that nature.

And btw, now following you. Would love to see your posts.

In your cranberry Bliss bars- I checked the post here. Maybe add some more text. Some people get irritated with a great title or headline of a post then feel deflated when they click on the link/post and it's only a video or link. Maybe add text about why you make this, why you/you family like it, how you first discovered the recipe. Adding text substance could help. Also for that post you could use healthy-home which is a curating member for healthy life, recipes, etc

Thank you soooo much for this feedback. I actually do well on The YT considering I earn and have had some sponsorships. Most importantly I’ve made a ton of friends there. But I’m not naive either, I can see that the platform is changing and many are jumping ship so I would be foolish not to see if there is something better out there with a better community. So awesome your tips on tags. I actually LOVE thrifting and have a lot of content regarding it, but I wasn’t sure if it’s a good fit for Steemit. My cranberry bliss bars did have a note attached that explained I originally posted it will all of the written details and more pictures etc but my DTube video would not work. I tried 1 million times to upload it. Finally when I figured out what was wrong, I wasnt able to edit my first cranberry bliss bar post which had promised a DTube video. So I just put up the video in the second post explaining that if anyone wants to see the recipe and written instructions they can go to the original. Classic rookie mistake 😂 .
Thanks for the encouragement

You never know until you try; there is a new tag called needleworkmonday (I believe) and it has taken off! Imagine if you did a thriftythursday... that would be GREAT!

I would definitely encourage you to search crafts, diy and even thrifty or frugal and see who else is making posts. Start following them and commenting on their posts.

Will do! Thanks again
