I didn't really know much about the program until I read the fiction novel, The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen that talked about the program.
I'd like to read that, I'll look it up. For many years I felt very guilty about things that happened, but where I live in Arkansas is where many Vietnamese people relocated to. We have a large Vietnamese community here and they're really good people. In fact Hue Pham, my partner came here... I ran into him in 2006. There's a restaurant, Tran's, where I eat and he won't take any money.
