I've also stumbled across other interesting WL documents concerning Syria and have been thinking it might be time to do a focused DD on Syria (or other) like @shepz1 suggested a few days ago.
As an example, this 2005 WL email predicts a crisis and instability in Syria in the next 5 years as oil production decreases and US companies divest from the country.

What are your thoughts in doing a focused deep dive? Are there any topics you think have merit? If you have any input we're all ears. I've been saying for a while that we'll be doing one on human trafficking and that's another possibility.

A focused deep dive would be interesting. Syria is a good topic. It would need to be a topic that has several factors to it for people to post on differently I think. Or else people posting about the same things would have to not be an issue. Do you list specific cases to do a post on then? Or just let the same things potentially be covered? I would have trouble finding more now as I've done quite a few on Syria from WIkiLeaks :P lol.
Human trafficking is a good option too. Try one topic out next time and see how it goes. It might be a bit easier for people in general to go write something about too ;)
