DeepOnion Airdrop Distribution Model - Is It Fair?
DeepOnion is emerging as one of the leading anonymous crypto coins in the anonymous crypto space. Many coins like Monero, Zcash etc offer stiff competition to DeepOnion, but they differ in one primary way which is majority of the DeepOnion coins are simply airdropped into offline wallets which is a huge difference according to me. The developers of DeepOnion are giving away free money to people around the world including me and ask very little in return which is why I hold this coin and its community in high regard. There are some haters who have the audacity to call this airdrop a FAD and a SCAM though it has already proved itself as a legitimate airdrop. Its simply their loss.
The DeepOnion airdrop gives a huge advantage to this coin over its competitors. Big question here is that is this airdrop really fair or does it only fill the pockets of certain individuals? This question has been asked many times and I have always given the same answer which is that this airdrop is one of the best crypto airdrops until now like NEM and Decred and it is fair, BUT needs some tweaking to make it more fair according to me.
The old distribution model used to reward members based on the ranking of their bitcointalk accounts which was ok, but many cheaters and scammers got around this restriction which rapidly led to the value of this coin decreasing. The new distribution model is much better in the sense that it rewards members based on how many coins they hold in their wallet which literally reduced to spammer problem in a huge way and was much better.
To make this new model even more fair, the developers need to tweak this new distribution model in such a way that the margin between the big time HODLERS and the small time HODLERS is decreased since it is way too big currently(7000 to 7). This would attract more members and investors towards DeepOnion and make it even more fair in my opinion.
