DeepOnion Wallet Distribution

in #deeponion7 years ago (edited)

The upcoming DeepOnion hard fork requires all user to upgrade their wallets. The newest version is v1.6.1 and at least v1.6.0 is necessary to stay on the main chain and send transactions over the network. This mandatory upgrade was a precondition for the new DeepProtocol, which introduces Stealth Adresses where the receiver can publish only one address and still stay anonymous.

For that reason a regularly updated overview of the wallet distribution could be helpful to monitor the progress of the upgrade. The following charts show the distribution of the wallets that are connected to the two main explorers of DeepOnion. The nodes were fetched via the api.

DeepOnion Wallet Distribution (29.03.2018)

DeepOnion Wallet Distribution (30.03.2018)

DeepOnion Wallet Distribution (31.03.2018)

DeepOnion Wallet Distribution (01.04.2018)

DeepOnion Wallet Distribution (02.04.2018)

The above chart shows that there are many wallets still running on the old version. It is necessary to upgrade the wallets before block 460 000 (approximate 02.04.2018) to prevent a possible chain split. Please update your old wallets. You can find all information required for the upgrade on the official announcement.
