World's Democracy or Illusion?

The word "Democracy" refers to "People's Opinion" or "People's Choice". Whenever someone says about or you can say shout about the rights of the people,their living standards or anything else. The forst thong comes in our mind is that a democratic state will be able to give us this. BUT the main problem is in the system which is selecting the so called Politician in the shadow of businessmen or some corrupt people. Any nation who wants to stand on its feet,there are some pet rules they have to follow.The real democracy should be the one in which any person should ne selected on the basis of his qualification instead of his influence or support of some internal or external organizations.The chinese founding father Mao,made it compulsory that only an intellectual and educated person can vote. This is the democracy ;the real one,in which if a person does not know that what os good or bad for him then how is it possible that he can select a Good Ruler which ultimately leads us to a Good Democratic State.
