It is understandable of people to be skeptical of Democrats on certain agenda items.

But on abortion rights at least there has been an actual effort to codify Roe in Congress.

A codification bill passed the House, but failed in the Senate because Manchin wouldn't support overturning the filibuster for it.

Schumer has signalled carving out a Senate filibuster exception for such an effort in the next Congress.

The will is there among the Democrats to actually materially improve policy there.
