Quick Tip To Increase Your Document Aesthetic Visual Presentation

Hello there,

I don't know if my eyes are getting old or tired of watching some contrast between colors but recently I have quitted using pure black for body text as default color for it. Well the getting old thing is a joke but the truth behind it is that pure black color is so hard for the eye and because of this modern documents are more likely to be designed with a color different from pure black.

Let me give you some samples:

The next text is a random text I have created with pure white for the background and pure black for the body copy.

what I want you to notice is that pure black is the complete oposite for the white and that makes your eye detect every detail due to the high contrast tiring it during reading.

Now let's look at this new text:

This new text is colored by a tint of blue and some tones of gray to make it more natural. It is obvious that contrast has been decreased here but it is strong enough to make it perfect for reading. It also looks very good because it follows the trend of modern minimalistic style.

Conclusion

Using pure black is an obvious good choice for creating documents and coloring the body copy and there are tons of great document designs outhere which uses pure black as main color for text. My humble suggestion is using some tint or tone different from black to make the document softer and sleek just as a matter of visual aesthetic enhancement.
