Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden
Two days ago me and my Mum went to a nearby Botanical Garden. Despite the fact that I´ve spent quite some time here at the sunshine coast I haven´t visit these gardens before. Honestly I did not expect much, but it turned out to be well worth a visit.
Vor zwei Tagen gingen meine Mutter und ich in einen nahegelegenen Botanischen Garten. Trotz der Tatsache, dass ich einige Zeit hier an der Sonnenküste verbracht habe, habe ich diese Gärten noch nicht besucht.
Ehrlich gesagt habe ich nicht viel erwartet, aber es hat sich herausgestellt das es einen Besuch wert war.
It is not that typical style of Botanic Garden with thousands of different flowers, it´s more about trees and bushes and many kinds of ferns.
There are huge eucalyptus trees and Koalas can be seen if you´re lucky enough. As always we haven´t been the lucky ones. But I told my Mum that she wont go home without seeing a Koala and we still have 2 weeks time, so fingers crossed.
Furthermore there is a big lake in the middle of the park and many different walks to choose from.
Es ist nicht der typische Stil des Botanischen Gartens mit Tausenden verschiedener Blumen, es geht mehr um Bäume und Büsche und viele Arten von Farnen.
Es gibt riesige Eukalyptusbäume und wenn man Glück hat, kann man Koalas sehen. Wie immer waren wir nicht die Glücklichen. Aber ich sagte meiner Mutter, dass sie nicht nach Hause gehen würde, ohne einen Koala zu sehen, und wir haben immer noch 2 Wochen Zeit, also drücken wir die Daumen.
Außerdem gibt es einen großen See in der Mitte des Parks und viele verschiedene Wanderwege zur Auswahl.

We decided to have a stroll through the Fern Garden where many different kinds of Fern grow. Some of them grow up to 10m high and even I have never seen this fern.
It is a nice walk through a small shady forest with lots of small benches to have a rest and enjoy the beautxy of this garden.
Wir entschieden uns für einen Spaziergang durch den Farngarten, wo viele verschiedene Arten von Farn wachsen. Einige von ihnen werden bis zu 10 m hoch und selbst ich habe diesen Farn noch nie gesehen.
Es ist ein schöner Spaziergang durch einen kleinen schattigen Wald mit vielen kleinen Bänken, um sich auszuruhen und die Schönheit dieses Gartens zu genießen.

After that we went on the Sculpture Walk, a walk where along the path artists can exhibit their art objects. Again, the way leading through a nice forest.
We´ve seen many interesting art objects and even spotted some wildlife again. A rather small Lace Monitor. After half of that way we gave up as it was getting way to hot already.
We will definitely visiting again and tell you more about the rest of the garden and it´s walks.
Danach machten wir uns auf den Sculpture Walk, einen Weg, auf dem Künstler ihre Kunstobjekte ausstellen können. Erneut führte uns der Weg durch einen schönen Wald.
Wir haben viele interessante Kunstobjekte gesehen und sogar Wildtiere entdeckt. Einen eher kleiner Buntwaran.
Nach der Hälfte des Weges gaben wir auf, da es schon viel zu heiß wurde.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und mehr über den Rest des Gartens und seine Wanderwege berichten.

Thank you for taking me back to this beautiful place @betterthanhome It really is a peaceful spot away from noisy traffic and busy suburbia. Its good to see that you are getting to see a lot of Queensland. How long is your house sit there?
