Bitcoinvermögen zentralisierter als US-Dollar
Schätzungsweise 114 Millionen Menschen weltweit besitzen die Kryptowährung Bitcoin, dies bedeutet, dass etwa 0,01 Prozent der Bitcoin-Inhaber 27 Prozent der 19 Millionen im Umlauf befindlichen Bitcoins kontrollieren. Das berichtet das Wall Street Journal (WSJ) und verweist zum Vergleich auf die USA, in denen trotz einer beispiellosen Kapitalkonzentration im Verlaufe der Coronapandemie die reichsten ein Prozent der Haushalte „nur“ etwa ein Drittel des gesamten Vermögens besitzen.
Zum ersten Mal wurde jede Transaktion in der mehr als 13-jährigen Geschichte von Bitcoin kartiert und analysiert. Sie zeigt eine Zentralisierung.
Die meisten Menschen, die damit handeln, täten dies über Börsen und die Kosten für das Mining seien so hoch geworden, dass sich nur eine kleine Gruppe von Unternehmen diese Form des Schürfens nach Bitcoin leisten kann.
So sei hauptsächlich der Reichtum der Bitcoin-Miner und -Börsen in den vergangenen zwei Jahren in die Höhe geschnellt. Auch habe sich die Anzahl der Personen, die Bitcoin besitzen, mehr als verdoppelt. Dennoch stammten etwa 90 Prozent der Transaktionen rund um den Bitcoin aus zwei Tätigkeiten, die keine eigentliche wirtschaftliche Funktion haben, so die Forscher.
Die verbleibenden 10 Prozent des Volumens dominiere der Handel. Nur diesen Teil qualifizieren die Forschenden als „echtes Volumen“.
Das klingt alles wenig aufbauend. Allerdings haben die Studienautoren sich auch mit dem Vorwurf beschäftigt, der Bitcoin würde vornehmlich für kriminelle Zwecke verwendet. Sie konnten ihn vollumfänglich entkräften.

I hope that in the future the BTC will be managed in a more decentralized way but the truth is that it is very difficult, for that to happen the great whales have to have conscience, and who will give them the conscience so that they act for the benefit of other people?
well the whales have a bit of a dilemma. if a whale would now exchange a large amount of btc for fiat money then the bitcoin WOULD fall into the abyss. and investors lose confidence.
if so, they have to sell their btc very slowly so as not to influence the price.

It is sad to read this news, since supposedly the BTC was created with other intentions, definitely something bad is happening but not in the system, if not rather, in the human being and his greed.
