On Christmas Day we were here with friends and family for dinner and a little Christmas party in this little Andalusian jewel. It is a nice change in this so strange time with our little friend who causes so much mess and mischief.
But thank goodness little "Bicho" as he is commonly called here can't influence the weather, we had a whopping 22°, hey at Christmas, we sat on a great terrace with an amazing view for dinner, went for a walk with people we like on a lonely beach and enjoyed the little bit of life we are still allowed to have to the full.

It's not the cheapest place to eat and stay, but it's really good quality, and the location and surroundings compensate for the slightly higher price level than we generally expect or find in Andalusia.
Enjoy our short trip to the coast of the region around Sotogrande.

Am Weihnachtstag waren wir mit Freunden und Familie hier in diesem kleinen Andalusischen Juwel zum Essen und für eine kleine Weihnachtsfeier verabredet. Es ist eine schöne Abwechslung in dieser so merkwürdigen Zeit mit unserem kleine Freund der soviel Durcheinander und Unheil verursacht.
Aber Gott sei Dank kann der kleine "Bicho" wie er hier allgemein genannt wird das Wetter nicht beeinflussen, wir hatten Granatenmässige 22°, hey an Weihnachten, wir saßen auf einer tollen Terrasse mit einem Wahninnsausblick zum Essen, waren mit Menschen die wir mögen an einem einsamen Strand spazieren und haben das bisschen Leben was wir aktuell noch haben dürfen in vollen Zügen genossen.

Es ist nicht das billigste Vergnügen hier zu Essen und zu übernachten aber dafür von wirklich guter Qualität, und die Lage mit ihrem Umfeld entschädigen für das etwas höhere Preisniveau als wir es gemeinhin in Andalusien erwarten bzw. vorfinden.
Genießt unseren kurzen Ausflug an die Küste der Region um Sotogrande.

El día de Navidad estuvimos aquí con amigos y familiares para cenar y hacer una pequeña fiesta navideña en esta joya andaluza. Es un cambio agradable en esta época tan extraña con nuestro pequeño amigo que causa tanto desorden y daño.
Pero menos mal que el pequeño "Bicho" como se le llama comúnmente aquí no puede influir en el tiempo, tuvimos nada menos que 22º, oye en Navidad, nos sentamos en una estupenda terraza con unas vistas increíbles para cenar, salimos a pasear con gente que nos gusta por una playa solitaria y disfrutamos al máximo del poco de vida que aún se nos permite.

No es el lugar más barato para comer y alojarse, pero es de muy buena calidad, y la ubicación con su entorno compensan el nivel de precios ligeramente superior al que generalmente esperamos o encontramos en Andalucía.
Disfrute de nuestro corto viaje a la costa de la región alrededor de Sotogrande.

Hallo lieber Thomas, das ist so schön in der Region Sotogrande. Man könnt nicht nur neidisch werden, ich gebe zu ich bin es gerade. (Hier regnet es heute schon wieder in Strömen, muß aber auch sein!!!!) Die gute andalusische Küche will ich mir garnicht erst vorstellen. Das blaue Meer, die strahlend weißen Häuser, die so typisch sind für die mediterrane Architektur. Ich denke es sind Anstriche auf Kalkbasis, denn nur die sind so weiß mit einem warmen Ton. Farben die mit Titandioxid hergestellt werden, sind zwar weißer,aber haben nicht diesen warmen Farbton.
Genießt den Frühling.
Hallo Jochen, vielen Dank für das erneute reinschauen bei mir im Blog. Mir ist schon klar das man sich bei dem Wetter welches bei euch um diese Jahreszeit herrscht lieber mit solchen Sachen auseinander setzt ;)
Und ja mit der Farbe hast du in der Mehrzahl der Fälle auch recht, man merkt halt das da der Fachmann spricht, so ein bisschen (hihi) verstehst du ja schon von der Materie Bauen, und bei einem kannst du dir ganz sicher sein ich genieße jeden Sonnenstrahl und jede Möglichkeit die wunderschöne Landschaft/Natur hier unten irgendwie zu erleben, ich für meinen Teil bin ja schon vor längerer Zeit im Süden angekommen -auch wenn sich gerade viele geschäftliche Aktivitäten seltsamerweise in die Region Bayern entwickeln- .

haha you got me, you find out my second account know, hi @tangmo, than you for visiting my other blog also (this is my older account from the company, my private account is the one from don-t what you have discovered before), and you´re right there is a special atmosphere here in most of the places on the coast from Andalusia Spain that´s why I moved to here from my country of origin because there everything is a bit gray, not much sun, and a lot of stressed people. I guess it´s kind of simular to your place where I can see also these chilling vibes and a adoring nature surrounding it ;)
