Hello fellow Steemians !

Welcome to another edition of my original "Bikes of Burden" Collection. Today, we are doing math but don't be scared. I am not asking you to solve any calculations because today's Episode is about "Geometry". I know it still sounds boring but once you see the pictures, you will have a whole different opinion about the subject matter. So please check out my funny pictures below.

Hallo liebe Steemians!

Willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe meiner original "Bikes of Burden" Kollektion. Heute habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich euch mal ein paar Fotos zeige die nicht direkt mit überladenen Motorrollern zu tun haben, aber einfach nur komisch oder seltsam erscheinen. Deswegen heisst die Bilderserie heute „Wer wusste es?“. Was haltet Ihr von meinem neuen Titelbild? Ich denke es hilft vielleicht dabei, auf meinen Blog zu klicken…

THE SQUARE

DAS QUADRAT

The square is a special polygon, a flat, convex and regular quadrangle. Whether the guy, who looks almost as if someone nailed him to the board, knew this fact, remains an open question today!

Das Quadrat ist ein spezielles Polygon, nämlich ein ebenes, konvexes und regelmäßiges Viereck. Ob dem Kerl, der fast so aussieht, als hätte man ihn an das Brett genagelt, dies wusste bleibt heute eine offene Frage !

PYRAMID STUMP

A pyramid stump is a special type of polyhedron. It is created by cutting a smaller pyramid from the top of a pyramid, parallel to the base. Great, right? However, I think the driver was only thinking about arriving home before the storm, because this monster seems to attract lightning magically.

Ein Pyramidenstumpf ist ein spezieller Typ des Polyeders. Er entsteht dadurch, dass man von einer Pyramide parallel zur Grundfläche eine kleinere, ähnliche Pyramide abschneidet. Toll oder? Ich glaube jedoch dem Fahrer ging nur durch den Kopf, das er vor dem Gewitter zu Hause ankommt, denn dieses Ungetüm scheint Blitze magisch anzuziehen.

HORIZONTAL HOLLOW CYLINDER

WAAGERECHTER HOHLZYLINDER

The horizontal hollow cylinder is a reclining, straight circular cylinder with a bore along its axis. In reality, one simply says "straight pipe". Our friend here carries 3 horizontal hollow cylinders and thinks that it is probably the most normal thing in the world .... until the next curve.

Der waagerechte Holzylinder ist ein liegender, gerader Kreiszylinder mit einer Bohrung entlang seiner Achse. Im Volksmund sagt man auch einfach "gerades Rohrstück". Unser Freund hier, trägt 3 waagerechte Hohlzylinder und denkt das das wohl die normalste Sache der Welt sei....Bis zur nächsten Kurve.

ELLYPTICAL HOLLOW CYLINDER

The elliptical hollow cylinder has the shape of a (of course) ellipse with a bore along its axis. The length of the cross-section curve can be calculated using a curve integral. The driver does not care about that, but he uses this geometric form as sun protection.

Der Elliptische Hohlzylinder hat im Querschnitt die Form einer (na klar) Ellipse mit Bohrung entlang seiner Achse. Die Länge der Querschnittskurve kann mit Hilfe eines Kurvenintegrals berechnet werden. Der Fahrer macht sich darüber keine Gedanken, sondern er nutzt diese geometrische Form als Sonnenschutz.

THE TRIANGULAR CIRCLE SQUARE

DAS DREICKECKIGE KREISQUADRAT

The Triangular Circle Square is a shape which probably only occurs in Vietnam. Often it is transported on motorbikes in order show the Vietnamese population this unique geometric form.

Das Dreickige Kreisquadrat ist eine Form die wohl nur in Vietnam vorkommt. Oft wird sie auf Motorrädern transportiert um Vietnamesen diese einzigartige geometrische Form nahezubringen.

THE LEANING CUBOID

This right-balanced and left-tipping cuboid has six side faces which are at right angles to each other, eight right-angled corners and twelve edges, each of which has four equal lengths and is parallel to each other. After this driver hits a power line and falls down, the above definition of a cuboid probably no longer applies.

Dieser rechts balancierte und linkskippende Quader besitzt sechs Seitenflächen, die im rechten Winkel aufeinander stehen, acht rechtwinkelige Ecken und zwölf Kanten, von denen jeweils vier gleiche Längen besitzen und zueinander parallel sind. Nachdem dieser Fahrer an einer Stromleitung hängenbleibt und hinfällt kann die obige Definition eines Quaders wohl nicht mehr angewendet werden.

MULTIPLE ELLIPSOIDE

The egg is a three-dimensional object whose lower part is a hemisphere and whose upper part is an ellipsoid. If a lot of eggs are damaged by a motorcycle accident, it is called road-omelet, which has nothing to do with ellipsoids.

Das Ei ist ein dreidimensionales Objekt, dessen unterer Teil eine Halbkugel und dessen oberer Teil ein Ellipsoid ist. Werden viele Eier durch einen Motorradunfall beschädigt, spricht man von Strassenomlett, was nichts mehr mit Ellipsoiden zu tun hat.

I had a lot of fun writing today's blog and I actually learned a lot about geometry, trying to find out what kind of shapes are transported on Vietnamese roads. Ich hatte viel Spaß beim Schreiben des heutigen Blogs und ich habe tatsächlich viel über Geometrie gelernt beim Versuch herauszufinden, welche Arten von Formen auf vietnamesischen Straßen transportiert werden.
