I hope Binance get their MiCA license soon.
There was a vague update by their CEO they are supporting each user. What kind of support, if transfers and trading is forbidden for EU?!
I think more and more they haven't done their best to get it, perhaps somewhat intentional. Hundreds of MiCA licenses were given in the last months, the most in Germany, France, Luxembourg, etc.
If Kraken, Crypto.com and many other smaller exchanges were able to acquire it, it's not the fault of the legislator, obviously.
I don't like Bitvavo much, it was too complicated to use even before the EU regulations, they were not flexible at all.
As of today, it seems that only the Spanish Bit2Me support STEEM transfers and trading, with USDC and EUR pairs but there are a few red flags with it too - no reserves info and too much paperwork, they ask retail customers to provide too many documents.
It seems to me that unless we work towards more adoption of STEEM on the big MiCA licensed exchanges, EU users will loose interest and minimize or end their activities on the blockchain here.
I took a look at the current interface and think it’s refreshingly simple. And the overview of completed transactions, deposits, etc., is much better than on some other platforms. Bitget is an absolute disaster in this context, I couldn’t manage to get a list of my deposits—it’s a nightmare!
Yes, I am not aware of any licensed exchange at this time where STEEM can be traded. I've already seen two people here who have requested that Bitvavo list STEEM again. Soon there will be three :-)
I guess I didn't express myself well, Bitvavo interface was good, clean and simple as you say. It has been a few years since I last used it but I recall my last transaction was to or from another exchange and they asked I upload to them a screenshot from the other exchange proving it is my own account. Then I had to wait too long for that approval. A bit too much for me and I emptied my account. Moreover, trades were not the best in terms of pair offers, probably due to low volumes.
