My feeling is that memory has cross links. If someone's name is forgotten, for example, it sometimes helps to try to remember the car that they drive or some other bit of info about them. It sometimes will then trigger the memory of their name.
Thank you for your feedback - and your personal (on top) example for finding lost "memories". How do you read this post? With a translater or do you know a little bit german?

It embarrases me to say that even after having lived in Germany for eight months, Google Translate is needed to understand your posts.
Don't worry- german is a difficult language... I learned (a loooong time ago) English at school for 9 years and i am very short with my writing or communication in English ;-) Thank you for "translating" your reply!
