About that "disabled forever" message – that's not a ban. It shows up for any witness whose node hasn't finished syncing yet and hasn't produced a block. My node is running and currently synchronizing, which takes a while with the Steem blockchain.

Thanks for the information. I voted for the witness and everything worked out. Although my vote doesn't have much impact on the rating 😄. And even though you don't set a goal to get into the top 20, it still wouldn't be out of place.

For making money, Facebook is definitely better suited than Steem

It would be great if Steem allowed us to further monetize our blogs, for example by placing ad blocks. I think that would be appealing to many content creators. However, then Steem would lose one of its main advantages - the lack of ads.
