I also do not interfere with the other birds, only with "Fiepsy" because of the broken leg this babybird would be a victim for the cats!
You did a good deed there. I recently saved a citrus swallowtail caterpillar on my lemon tree from my cats. Now it is in a cocoon busy turning into a butterfly. Once it is out and flying i will set it free
